Ernie’s Auto Service is a family owned and operated business delivering honest and professional automotive repair and maintenance services to the people of Zion, Winthrop Harbor, Beach Park, Waukegan, North Chicago, Gurnee, Kenosha and surrounding areas. The quality ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certified technicians at Ernie’s Auto Service employ today’s latest automotive technology and are equipped to handle all major and minor repairs on foreign and domestic passenger vehicles, light to medium duty trucks and buses. Our shop is proud to have been designated a “Blue Seal of Excellence” shop by ASE since 2008; all of our full-time personnel are ASE certified in at least one field of automotive repair technology.

Ernie’s Auto Service is a certified NAPA Auto Care Center; we are able to provide the benefits of an established national entity while maintaining the personal touch of a family owned business. We understand that your vehicle is a major investment, and that is why we care for each customer’s vehicle as if it were our own. Ernie’s Auto Service is also an authorized Hankook tire dealer, so we are equipped to handle all your vehicle’s tire needs as well as honoring any Hankook tire warranties.

We schedule our customers by appointment to eliminate long waits, however, we can take drop-ins if our work load will accomodate or if your car is experiencing a safety issue. Appointments can be scheduled by phone or through email. Better yet, stop by our shop and personally introduce yourself to Ernie and his staff.

With the Holidays right around the corner, our shop’s schedule is filling up fast. If you need any maintenance done, please call ahead of time to schedule your appointment. The shop will be closed the 23rd through the 26th for Thanksgiving. And for Christmas we will be closed the 23rd through January 1st.
